Mr. R.Baskran Raman Nair, M. Ed. (Management); B.A; Dip. Ed. has 41 years of experience as an educator and trainer. His areas of interest include personnel management, language management, communicative English and mental health.
He started off working as a Management & Production Trainee in woodworking industry before joining as a teacher in government schools. He became a lecturer at the National Institute of Educational Management (IAB) where he lectured on education policy development and curriculum development. He has delivered a variety of training programmes on education and management for education managers and attended trainings in areas of management and leadership.
After his tenure at IAB, Mr. R.Baskran Raman Nair worked as a Vice Principal in various government schools. During this time, his passion for training brought him to lecture at various university programmes where he lectured on language and management courses, which are his expertise. He has been a Human Resource Development Corp (HRD CORP) Approved Trainer since 2011. As from June 2025, Mr. R.Baskran Raman Nair was entrusted as an Accredited Trainer with HRD CORP. In December 2020, his organisation, Corporate Lingua was accepted as a HRD CORP Training Provider. As an icing to the cake, in October 2022, Mr. R.Baskran Raman Nair lectures in University Malaya, the oldest university in Malaysia on Assessment and Evaluation in English as Second Language. He is also the Testimonial Writer for a prominent university and the Language Consultant with an upcoming private school in Seremban.
Mr. R.Baskran Raman Nair has experience coordinating the Brighton Education English Speaking Assistants (ESA) project for four years, involving native speakers from United Kingdom. In 27th & 28th of October 2021, based on his experience, Mr. R.Baskran Raman Nair presented his international paper on Mental Health entitled ‘Pressured Temptations – A Conservative Approach’ at the 35th Conference and Annual General Meeting of Asia Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization (APOSHO 35) hosted by Japan. Based on his experience in the training world, the Negeri Sembilan State Entrepreneurs Society awarded him the Golden Executive Recognition Award 2024.
Mr. R.Baskran Raman Nair has been involved in social service since 1980, serving various school and university based organisations. He has been with Rotary International since 1999, serving twice as the President of Rotary Club of Senawang and various sub-committees at national level. He is currently the International Service Director and also the Mental Health Chairperson of Rotary Club of Senawang. He headed the Rules & By-laws Committee of Royal Sungei Ujong Club Seremban, one of the oldest social clubs in Malaysia. As a disciplinarian, Mr. R.Baskran was given the honour to serve in the Discipline Board of the same club. Mr. Baskran, elected as the President of Negeri Sembilan Kerala Samajam (one of the largest Malayalee associations in Malaysia), made innovative changes to the organisation during his term. He was also the Chairman of Rukun Tetangga (Neighbourhood Watch) Seremban Jaya for 6 years and for 3 years, he was the Secretary of Taman Senawang Perdana, which is one of the largest gated and guarded community in Seremban. He served as the Secretary of Pahang Indian Association, one of the oldest associations in Raub, his hometown.
